How Ayurveda can Help in Reducing Belly Fat?

Ayurveda is around 500 decades old and it was originated in India. Ayurvedic medicine has replaced antibiotics and medicinal drugs worldwide and is becoming more and more popular with time.

In Ayurveda, the remedies and treatments are all-natural so the possibility of side-effects is nil. Nature only makes you stronger, immune and has positive effects only.

A human needs to balance all three Doshas of the body in order to live a perfectly healthy life and if any Dosha is dominant, one should work to reach the equilibrium of the Prakriti. In Ayurvedic medicine, health exists when there is an equal amount of the three fundamental bodily bio-elements or Doshas called wind, bile and phlegm.

Types of Doshas and Diets to Balance Doshas for Obesity

Vata Dosha (Wind): It is the energy of movement in the body associated with space and air. Pain is a characteristic that portrays a deranged Vata. Vata is a normal Sanskrit word that means “air aka wind.”

Diet for Vata Dosha:

  • Consume fruits with more water content
  • Do not eat raw apples and acidic fruits
  • Limit intake of legumes
  • Boycott alcohol and preserved beverages
  • Eat seeds and nuts

Pitta Dosha (Bile): It is the energy of metabolism associated with fire and water. Imbalanced Pitta Dosha is characterized by body heat or a burning sensation and redness.

Diet for Pitta Dosha:

  • Do not consume animal-based food items like milk and meat
  • Eat green leaves, vegetables, and seasonal fruits
  • Do not eat seeds and nuts

Kapha Dosha (Phlegm): It is the energy of the body’s structure associated with earth and water. All soft organs are made by Kapha. It plays an important role in the nourishment and lubrication of the body. If Kapha Dosha is imbalanced, the body might undergo congestion, dullness and procrastination.

Diet for Kapha Dosha:
