Tips by Ayurveda to Improve your Sexual Health

Indulge in Sexual Activity According to Dosha Imbalance

According to Ayurveda, sexual activity aggravates Vata Dosha and depletes Ojas in your body. Therefore, Ayurveda says that Vata-dominant people should not indulge in sexual activity frequently. However, people with Kapha Dosha can have intercourse frequently without depleting their Ojas. Pitta-dominant people can also have intercourse at a moderate frequency.

Determine Frequency of Sexual Activity According to Seasons

Each season promotes a specific Dosha in Ayurveda. Therefore, Ayurveda says that the frequency of sexual activity should vary with seasons. In winters, you can have intercourse frequently as it is Kapha season. However, during the spring and autumn season, you should indulge in sexual activity once in three days and during summers and rainy seasons, once in 15 days as Vata is already predominant.

Build Ojas Before and After Sexual Activity

Ojas is the vital essence or energy force of the body that tends to deplete after sexual activity. Therefore, Ayurveda advocates following practices to recover the loss of Ojas after having intercourse. To bring back your energy after sexual activity, you can take a bath, eat natural sweets made of jaggery, milk, etc., relax in a cool breeze or take a sound sleep.

You can also give oil massages to your partner to build Ojas in your body before indulging in sexual activity. It will also help you connect better with your partner.

Maintain Good Connection and Trust with your Partner

According to Ayurveda, building connections and trusting your partner is vital for sexual health. If you express your feelings and make love in desirable ways, you are more likely to utilise your Ojas better and boost your sexual health.

Eat Foods that can Improve Sexual Health

Ayurveda recommends many foods to improve sexual potency and boost sexual health. Some of these foods include whole grains, pulses, wheat, vegetables, garlic, fruits, Draksha, rock salt, dairy products and healthy oils.
