sukumaram kashayam uses and benefits

Sukumara Kashayam is an Ayurvedic formulation of 27 medicinal herbs and essential elements including Ashwagandha, Payasya, Krishnamoola, Sunthi and Shatavari among others. This ancient mix has been in use in traditional medicine as a cure for gynaecological disorders like menstrual syndromes including abdominal cramps, nausea, headache and more. Here we’ll talk about how this Ayurvedic formulation can benefit women’s health.

Female Infertility

Sukumara Kashayam is an excellent, natural fertility enhancer that can help women experiencing difficulty conceiving. It also helps in the cases of unknown infertility as Ayurveda believes that when the reasons are not obvious, infertility can be attributed to a weak uterus. Sukumara Kashayam with a combination of other Ayurvedic herbs can help treat the condition.

Dysmenorrhea (Menstrual Cramps)

Sukumara Kashayam has antispasmodic properties which can relieve the pain caused by menstrual cramps. It acts on prostaglandins which are considered to be associated with severe menstrual cramps. Another reason for menstrual cramps is a blockage in the blood vessels of the uterus. Sukumaram Kashayam clears such blockages and makes the blood flow easy, which in turn can help with dysmenorrhea.

According to Ayurveda, the premenstrual syndrome occurs due to aggravated Vata and Pitta Doshas. Sukumaram Kashayam holds the potential for pacifying these Doshas and relieves symptoms such as mood swings, fatigue, irritability and tenderness of the breasts

Ovarian Cysts

Ovarian cysts are not exactly classified in Ayurvedic texts, but they can fall under the broad term Granthi (tumour). Unbalanced Doshas and Dhatus are considered to be the main reason for Granthi. Sukumaram Kashayam is to bring a balance in the Doshas and Dhatus that result in relieving ovarian cysts.

PCOS

PCOS stands for Polycystic ovary syndrome which is a major contributor to cause infertility in women. Hormonal imbalance is the major trigger for this condition and can lead to several other health complications such as formation of ovarian cysts and more. Sukumaram Kashayam takes a holistic approach in treating PCOS and uterus-related issues.

Amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is a condition when a woman suffers from absent periods. Sukumaram Kashayam when combined with certain other Ayurvedic herbs can help cure amenorrhea and can be used to regulate periods as well.

Digestive Issues

Aggravated Vata Dosha in the abdomen can lead to digestive issues and intestinal problems such as hernia, constipation, flatulence and intestinal spasms. Sukumaram Kashayam helps cure all such issues by soothing the Vata Dosha and bringing a natural balance in them.

The Takeaway

Sukumara Kashayam is an Ayurvedic formulation that is known to benefit women largely. It has a positive impact on conditions such as female infertility, dysmenorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, ovarian cysts, PCOS and others. It is advised to consult an expert Ayurvedic Vaidya before taking Sukumara Kashayam as they will be able to better guide you based on your health condition and will also suggest the right combination of herbs and supplements to be taken with it to get the best results.
